A traditional, unpolished red rice variety grown by tribal farmers associated with the Timbaktu Collective in Ananthapur, AP. The rice is earthy, aromatic, and filling; this rice is unpolished to preserve nutrients.
Known for its low-GI, high fiber, mineral, and antioxidant content, the rice is suitable for weight management, diabetes management, and beneficial for heart health.
It is recommended to soak this rice for 6–8 hours before cooking for better texture, as it is a traditional variety.
The rice is NPOP certified organic and contains no chemical residues.
