Traditional Sona Masuri or BPT Rice aged over 9 months. This rice was cultivated and harvested without the use of urea or any chemicals / pesticides.
Brown rice is whole-grain rice with the inedible outer hull removed. Compared with white rice which is the same grain also with the husk removed this rice has retained the bran layer.
The bran is rich in fiber provides the higher nutrition but prevents the cereal germ inside from cooking properly. We suggest soaking the rice for an hour before cooking to ensure proper cooking of the rice.
